William Henry Harrison Statue

I think it's a little odd - okay, a lot odd - that this Indianapolis statue of William Henry Harrison labels him with the dubious distinction of being the "Conqueror of the Indian Confederacy", rather than mentioning the slightly more salient fact that he was the ninth President of the United States.

  1. Interesting. I wonder why I have never seen this. I spent a large part of my time as a teenager giving tours at the Harrison Mansion in Vincennes. Surprising that this wasn't spoonfed to us at one time or another. Of course, now that I think about it, the reason you find it odd may be part of the reason I've not seen it. But that's another story for another day...
