Beargrass Creek Trail

For the first time in my life, I noticed a small sign on Spring street pointing down a very short cul-de-sac at the end of Locust Street. The sign said "Beargrass Creek Trail" with an arrow pointing. Always up for a new place for a morning coffee-walk, I decided to check it out.

In my head, I was calculating that the trail must come to an end right around the corner, probably on the far side of Spring Street Grill. But no. I turned the corner, and there the trail went on and on and on into the vanishing point.

I followed it all the way to the end, which comes out beside Jim Porter's.

Iced Coffee

So today I deviated from my usual morning Starbucks, and tried this iced coffee from a different vendor. It was delicious, but it was a very, very small cup for practically the same price as a Venti Starbucks. It was also, as you can see here in the photo taken at drink's end, mostly ice.

The green straw delivers.

Mystery Urn

Just past the four-way intersection of Grinstead and Lexington, this huge swan-handled urn stands alone in the middle of nothing. Why?
